Florida Dental Assistant Training Schools Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certification Course is designed to certify the dental student in performance and competency of Florida EFDA Duties. It includes those duties which may be performed under the supervision of a dentist and for which formal training is required. Our program combines lecture, clinical and hands-on training during each session totaling 176 clock hours.
Our course is administered in accordance with the Florida Board of Dentistry, Florida Department of Health and the Florida Department of Education.
Upon successful completion of state and course requirements, you will be awarded two State of Florida certificates in Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and Dental Radiography. You will also receive a one-year American Heart Association CPR certification.

Clinical Charting
Polishing Clinical Crowns
Pouring Study Models
Apply Dental Sealants
Place/Remove Dental Dam
Place/Remove Temporary Restorations
Remove sutures
Apply liners and bases
Take Alginate impressions
Fabricate Provisional Crowns
The program runs for 12 consecutive weeks. FDATS offers two sessions:
Session One: Monday 6:00-10:00pm and Wednesday 6:00-10:00 pm
Session Two: Saturdays 8:00am-5:00pm
The teacher/student ratio will be a maximum of 10 students per 1 instructor for a more cohesive and engaging class culture.
Tuition is $4,250.00 plus a $150.00 nonrefundable administration fee. This includes all materials necessary to complete the course in its entirety. Our program is ALL INCLUSIVE. There are no hidden fees or additional costs.
Textbooks, workbooks, student name tag and one pair of solid colored scrubs. All training is conducted in a real fully-equipped dental office, not just a classroom.
